Motor Vehicle Accidents

In South Australia most claims for injuries sustained in road accidents are against the Motor Accident Commission ("the MAC"). Allianz is currently engaged by the MAC to manage claims against it.

If you instruct us to act for you in relation to your damages claim we will obtain the necessary medical and other evidence to support your claim and then advise you on your entitlement to damages.

Most such claims are now resolved without having to commence court proceedings. If necessary, however, we will commence legal proceedings on your behalf. Any court action in relation to a claim for damages for personal injuries must generally be commenced within three years of the accident.

Usually it is possible to recover a large proportion of your legal costs from the MAC upon the settlement of the claim.
