Asbestos-related illnesses
Since the 1960s it has been widely known that inhaling asbestos dust can cause debilitating and terminal illnesses such as asbestosis, lung cancer and mesothelioma.
Despite this, many employers continued to use asbestos in the workplace.Asbestos products were used in building and other industries without any warning being given, or steps being taken to protect employees or members of the public from the dangers of inhaling asbestos dust.
Typically the onset of asbestos-related illnesses does not occur until decades after exposure.
If you suffer from an asbestos-related illness, you may be entitled to workers compensation benefits or damages for your losses.
